The Vicissitudes of Life!
Most of our herd now lives on a beautiful 1750 acre ranch
in Southern California.
Our daughter has decided not to take over the ranch and the llama herd after all and we are concentrating more on creating fiber art and product sales now. We decided to pare down and sell the rest of our llama herd with the exception of "Checkers", the llama she still takes to llama shows and public relations. Plus we have our two adorable alpacas we are training for performance and public relations.
We are still involved in the llama community and are committed to helping new llama owners experience the joy of owning and /or breeding llamas. We promote training and education so new llama owners can become informed and responsible in their new venture. Golden Browne Llamas has the highest ethics in the treatment and handling of our animals. We place a very high value on the quality of our customer service and always demonstrate professional ethics and integrity. If you are looking for quality llamas or alpacas, there are ranches we highly recommend. Feel free to contact us and we will be happy to recommend some to you.
Our daughter, loves to train llamas and alpacas for Halter and Performance classes and is involved in the Llama Youth Program. She is a member of ALSA, LANA and LASC and has won many awards.
She writes for the Muses from Meagan Web Page on our website and has been published in 5 National Llama Magazines, and in several local, out of state and international Llama Newsletters! Be sure to visit her page often to see her new llama stories and updates!

Newsflash!
Golden Browne Llamas were in the January 1, 2007
118th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA!
1st time ever for Llamas to be in this Historical Parade!
The theme of the 2007 Rose Parade was "Our Good Nature" and llamas certainly have a very "good nature."
Golden Browne llamas is proud to have been able to participate in the 118th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA on January 1, 2007. We conditioned ourselves and our llamas to walk the
5 1/2 miles parade route on city streets. Meagan and Checkers and John and Bounder represented our Ranch in this famous internationally broadcast event. The llama unit was the 8th unit out of 97 entries going into the parade.
John's Great Uncle James K. Ingham. “Uncle Jamie Ingham”, who is also Meagan’s Great-Great Uncle, was the President of the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1943, during World War II. The theme of the Parade in 1943 was “We’re in to Win”. The Grand Marshall was Earl Warren who was the Governor of California at the time. He later became Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
In 1943 the Rose Bowl Football Game was back in Pasadena; in 1941 and 1942 they were afraid that the Japanese would attack so they moved it to the east coast. The score of the football game in 1943 was Georgia 9 – UCLA 0
